How long do temporary tattoos last on the skin?
Our temporary tattoos last about 3 to 7 days, depending on the size and placement of the tattoo (although some customers have worn their design for weeks!). Temporary tattoos last much longer when applied to an area that doesn’t get much friction.
Can I apply the tattoos to surfaces other than skin?
Our tattoos can be used in many ways, not just on skin. They also transfer onto lots of other objects, such as glasses, mugs, phones, phone cases, bags, notebooks, planners, laptops, iPads and more. The only limit is your imagination.
Any tips for applying the tattoos?
For the best result, make sure your skin is dry and free of oil, lotion and makeup: temporary tattoos apply best to clean, dry skin. Try to choose a smooth, hair-free area of skin that doesn’t wrinkle or stretch when you move.
Are the tattoos waterproof?
Once applied, the tattoos are waterproof, so they won’t come off in the shower, the pool or at the beach.
How do I apply the tattoos?
Applying them is very easy: all you need is a little water. Your skin should be clean, dry and free of lotion, oil and/or makeup.
1. Starting at a corner, carefully peel off the clear protective film.
2. Press the tattoo firmly onto your skin, design side down.
3. Wet the back of the tattoo with water or a well-dampened cloth and press for about 20–30 seconds.
4. Slowly peel off the paper backing.
5. Gently rinse the tattoo for the best results.
6. Let the tattoo dry before touching it or covering it with clothing.
How do I remove a tattoo?
Temporary tattoos come off easily with a little rubbing alcohol, hand sanitizer, baby oil or even a few strips of adhesive tape (that one’s for the brave :) ).
Are the tattoos safe for my skin?
Because our product comes into contact with the skin, we take safety very seriously. All the tattoos we make are safe, non-toxic and suitable for all ages. We use certified colorants, and all our products exceed the safety standards of the European Union and other countries for cosmetics and toys.
The tattoos are easy to remove without damaging the skin. However, we don’t recommend them for people who are allergic to adhesives or have very sensitive skin.
Can a tattoo cause a skin reaction?
Unfortunately, with any product that touches the skin there is always a risk that some people will have a reaction. Fortunately, the percentage of our customers this happens to is extremely small.
If a reaction does occur, it is usually a mild case of “contact dermatitis”: a faint red outline of the design remains on the skin as the tattoo fades. It usually itches for a few days and goes away with time.
If in doubt, we recommend testing it on a small area of skin before applying it to a larger area.
Do I need to create an account to buy a tattoo?
No, Yatatu lets you order without creating an account. With an account you don’t have to fill in your details every time you order again, and you can subscribe to our newsletters and even get exclusive discounts!
When will my tattoos be shipped?
Orders for in-stock tattoos ship the same day, depending on what time the order was placed. For tattoos with custom designs, times can vary depending on the quantity ordered and the type of tattoo. Small orders ship within 2 business days at most.
Can I place a rush order?
Faster production is available for an additional rush fee. If you have any questions or would like details about rush production, contact us by email at info@yatatu.com or through the chat on our website.
What is your return / refund policy?
Yatatu offers innovative, high-quality products. Occasionally, your tattoos may arrive damaged because of a shipping issue or some other problem. If that happens, don’t apply them: contact us and we will replace them, credit your account or refund the purchase price. We want you to be really happy with your purchase!
Can I change or cancel my order?
Of course! Just make sure you contact us before we start producing and/or shipping your order. For more information, email us at info@yatatu.com.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, of course! The only thing to bear in mind is that we are not responsible for customs charges.
Do you offer volume discounts?
Yes, the more tattoos you buy, the lower the price!
If you need a lot of tattoos for a wedding, festival, corporate event, sporting event or similar and would like a discount, email us at info@yatatu.com and we’ll be happy to give you a special discount.
How much does shipping cost?
In Spain, small orders are sent by standard mail and cost €1.30. Express shipping costs €3.40. For anything else, please ask us at info@yatatu.com.
Can I get tattoos made with my own design?
Absolutely! Whether it’s your company logo, your team’s crest or a design you’ve made yourself, you can do it easily with the tool on our website. Just choose the size and the number of tattoos you want, upload the image and voilà! It’s super easy!
What sizes are available?
We make tattoos from 2 x 2 cm up to 20 x 28 cm. If you need larger sizes, get in touch with us at info@yatatu.com.
How big can you make them?
As mentioned above, our maximum size at the moment is 20 x 28 cm. Large designs and sleeves are a bit tricky, as they are harder to apply and more exposed to friction.
But if you just want to get an idea of how your large design will look before getting the permanent version, this will definitely help. If you need to go even bigger, try splitting your design into several smaller pieces.
How many colors can I use?
All tattoos are printed in full color using the 4-color CMYK process, so your design can have as many colors as you like. For orders with special colors (white, shiny, gold, silver, etc.) or special effects (fluorescent, etc.), get in touch with us at info@yatatu.com.
Can I send you an image or photo so you can create a printable design for Yatatu?
Yes, just send your image to info@yatatu.com. Our designer will review it and send you a quote for the design.
Can I have my brand, logo or other information printed on the back of my custom temporary tattoos?
Yes, we can do that, but you need to let us know at info@yatatu.com. The extra cost may vary depending on the quantity.
What should my custom design look like?
Keep in mind that once printed, your design will sit on a transparent background. Our tool lets you resize the image and add text and shapes, but not remove parts of a design. That’s why we recommend making your design as clean as possible and in the best possible quality.
What margin should I allow for in my designs?
Please note that we adjust your designs with a 0.1 cm margin. In other words, the images you send will be reduced by 0.1 cm all the way around so we can make your tattoos.
What file formats do you accept for custom temporary tattoos?
We accept the most common file formats (jpg, tiff, psd, eps, pdf, ai…) except CorelDRAW files (.cdr) or artwork saved in Microsoft Office (.doc, .ppt, .xls).
- CMYK .jpg, .tiff, .png or .psd: ideally 300 dpi or more at the size you want to print (lower resolutions are possible, but the higher the dpi, the better the temporary tattoo).
- Vector files: .eps, .pdf or .ai
Please note that .gif and .jpg images taken from a website are too low in quality and resolution to make a good custom temporary tattoo. We also can’t work with designs that are on someone’s body.
How are my custom and in-stock temporary tattoos packaged?
Each custom temporary tattoo is individually cut to size and has a clear protective cover. Custom temporary tattoos are packed in bundles according to the quantities ordered.
In-stock temporary tattoos are delivered in a protective plastic bag or in a pack.
Can I order samples before placing an order?
Yes, we can make samples. The customer pays for them and the cost is deducted from the final order.
What is the minimum quantity of custom temporary tattoos I can buy?
There is no minimum order at Yatatu. However, very small tattoos are made in sets of 6 or 10.
Does Yatatu meet social responsibility requirements?
Among others, we comply with the provisions on child labor, forced or compulsory labor, health and safety, freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining, discrimination, disciplinary practices, working hours, pay and management systems.
What payment methods can I use for my temporary tattoos?
We accept most major credit cards and bank transfers.
Do you accept checks?
No, we don’t.
Do you charge VAT?
European Union countries: yes, 21% VAT, unless you have a valid EU VAT number. Outside the European Union, no VAT is charged.
If you have an EU VAT number, please add it as a comment on your order.
Are international taxes and duties included in the price of my order?
Customers outside the European Union may be charged import taxes and duties, depending on the destination country. These charges are not included in our prices.
As with any international shipment, your national customs authority may hold the goods and delay delivery while it calculates the applicable duties. These taxes and duties vary from country to country. Please contact your customs authority for more information.
How can I sell your tattoos in my store?
We make tattoos for many kinds of businesses and institutions, so we’d love to be part of your store. Please email us at info@yatatu.com.
As a tattoo artist, can I submit my designs and earn money from the ones that sell?
We have a dedicated section and a special program for tattoo artists. If that’s you, email us at info@yatatu.com and we’ll tell you all the details.
I’m a professional tattoo artist and want to send my design so my client can try it out. Can I do that?
